The Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM) is a very old and strange and mysterious catholic, military order. It claims to date back to the 11th hundreds. It not only still exists today, it has tremendous international power. But we never hear about it in the media because it exercises its power through various organizations like for example the CIA. One of the strange things about SMOM is that it is considered a sovereign nation like other nations as for example Denmark…but SMOM occupies no landmass on earth. It only exists as an order. Never the less it has status as an “observant nation” in the United Nations. It has its own printed money, it issues its own international passport, and it has its own license plates and even its own stamps. And is considered a nation by 104 sovereign nations. SMOM is “a historical anomaly” as MotherJones writes in an article.
